Requirements

  • BTech or Diploma in Engineering, Health, or Sciences.
  • Current Professional Registration with a statutory Professional Body in Engineering, Health, or Sciences.
  • At least 3-5 years’ relevant experience.
  • A valid Code 08 (B) driver’s license.

Key Performance Areas

  • Processing noise applications (exemptions, zoning, special consent, Environmental Authorizations, business licenses, and building plans).
  • Assisting in the approval of noise exemption applications.
  • Undertaking or requesting environmental impact assessments and compiling reports.
  • Investigating diverse noise complaints.
  • Enforcing the noise control regulations and liaising with Public Prosecutors and legal counsel on prosecutions and contentious issues.
  • Undertaking routine inspections and monitoring.
  • Performing administrative duties.
  • Undergoing skills training.
  • Initiating and coordinating community involvement within sub-districts.
