KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT STRATEGY
- Provide support and input in the development and implementation of the Corporate Affairs and Marketing strategy.
- Develop Digital Marketing strategy in line with the Corporate Affairs and Marketing strategy.
- Provide strategic direction to SABC brands in terms of defining objectives, strategy and development of business strategies to be implemented on digital media platforms
- Cascade Digital Marketing strategy across all SABC platforms
- Review and Report on the achievement of business units’ objectives
BUSINESS OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY
- Build, plan and implement the overall digital marketing strategy
- Develop and manage a CRM strategy for the SABC group
- Develop and implement a paid media strategy for all digital campaigns
- Manage all digital media buying activities for the
- Manage uniformity across the rest of the digital teams within the sub-brands
- Stay up to date with the latest technology and best practices
- Manage and oversee different digital marketing channels including website performance, social platforms, ecommerce platforms, etc
- Oversee all the company’s social media accounts
- Measure and manage online content
- Track SEO and Google Analytics data and make complex analysis
- Build an inbound marketing plan
- Measure ROI and KPIs
- Prepare and manage digital marketing budget
- Anticipate sales performance trends
- Lead digital marketing team
- Research competition, investigate benchmarks and provide suggestions for improvement
GOVERNANCE RISK AND COMPLIANCE
- Develop and review internal control measures to ensure good governance.
- Monitor and report on the operational risk and compliance.
- Implement internal control measures to ensure good governance and compliance.
- Oversee the management of digital stakeholder management risks to protect organisational integrity, create value, prevent financial loss and ensure compliance with applicable policies and legislations.
- Monitor compliance in line with OHS Act.
- Monitor execution of internal risk audits and address gaps and
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
- Oversee unit operational expenditure against approved budget and introduce corrective measures to ensure financial discipline and accountability.
- Ensure that the operational budget is managed in such a way as to assure no wasteful expenditure.
STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
- Build strong relationships with the SABCs digital stakeholders
- Foster relationships with key external stakeholders such as agencies, and other digital service providers
- Position the SABC as the preferred digital media partner for commercial transactions across South Africa’s diverse market segments.
LEADERSHIP AND PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
- Effective implementation of Performance Management System in accordance with organisational policy and procedures.
- Ensure adequate staffing for workload, succession planning and effective leadership.
- Effective briefing and communication with departmental staff.
- Career Development Plans (CDP) for all staff members.
- Provide direction on the retention and attraction of staff.
- Ensure efficient management of staff, including succession planning and effective leadership.
- Contract and Manage Performance Management System in accordance with organizational policy and procedures within the unit.
- Manage all information sources and create good relationships with key business decision makers.
- Career Development Plans (CDP) for all staff members..
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, digital marketing, Digital technologies, or a related field.
- 7+ years marketing experience, with at least 3 years in middle-management
- Relevant Digital Marketing certifications
- Detailed knowledge of SEO Google Analytics and CRM software and web traffic metrics
- 3 years of experience in developing and implementing digital marketing strategies
- Good knowledge of all different digital marketing channels
- Good knowledge and experience with online marketing tools and best practices
- Familiarity with web design
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Team player
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
ADVANTAGE:
- Broadcasting/Media/FMCG experience
