Job Description

Main Purpose of Job

  • To develop and implement the digital marketing strategy for the firm and centrally manages all digital marketing campaigns.

Strategic Impact

  • Supports own Service Area leadership in carrying out EXCO mandate.
  • Builds professional relationships within service area to understand business needs in area/s of responsibility.
  • Generates and implements innovative ideas and solutions within area of responsibility in collaboration with team members to enhance / renew service offerings.
  • Develop a robust and well considered strategic digital marketing strategy, aligned with the relevant business strategy and objectives.
  • Performs competitor research and analysis and provides regular updates to marketing team & internal stakeholders.
  • Displays subject matter expertise and strategic insight in order to advise the business on best practice and strategies on how to meet objectives.
  • Proactively provides innovative ideas and opportunities to the marketing teams to ensure that the firm is at the forefront of digital marketing. Create marketing strategy, give guidance to team
  • Aligned to relevant growth/industry/service area strategy
  • Incorporating market research to ensure differentiation.
  • Create innovative solutions of approaching and owning the market.

  • Understand Know Target persona (strategic support and relationship drive) be able to strategic advise to stakeholders on targeting.
  • Good understanding of Platinum clients.
  • Advisory of use of data (especially on retargeting/testing).
  • Using of first second and third party data (working with Digital team on optimizing analytics).
  • Crisis comms management for social media.

Project Management

  • Lead the Digital and Social media / oversee project/campaign/bold play.
  • Enable team to drive projects, give steer and guidance where needed.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement (and vendors where needed).
  • Create framework/tool for project management.
  • Keeping team up to date on Digital and social calendar.
  • Give strategic advisory on content.
  • Live coverage of bold play events.
  • Drive Project tracker
  • Member firm standards (Africa social leads)
  • Lead social steerco for South Africa
  • Digital Forum lead and drive team
  • Technical: Sound knowledge of Sprinklr.
  • Sound understanding of SEO and Search.
  • Growth marketing through data analytics.

Governance Operations Reporting

  • Create best practise frameworks for insights reporting, linked to RRR (revenue relationships & reputation).
  • Brand. Standard of execution.
  • Internal Stakeholder feedback framework (i.e. 5 questions).
  • Drive brand compliance on social media.

Finance

  • Provides input into annual budget and forecasts.
  • Monitors spend and track actuals against budget.
  • Manages and communicates discrepancies to line manager timeously.

Implementation of Strategy

  • Manages and monitors implementation of the digital marketing strategy for the firm.
  • Performance Reporting: track and measure performance of all campaigns including channel effectiveness using adobe analytics, sprinkler and campaign reports from media agencies
  • Using an online briefing form to manage the entire campaign briefing process between client and media agencies that will result in an approved media plan.
  • Project manage the implementation of all paid media campaigns.
  • Responsible to schedule all relevant organic content for the firm across all social media platform and develop weekly content plan with associated implementation calendar.
  • Check content upon submission to ensure that all campaigns published on social media aligns to the agreed firm’s strategic themes.
  • Check content upon submission to ensure adherence to firm’s marketing protocols and digital marketing guidelines.
  • Support the brand communications (Executive office) team by posting global signature campaigns and advising on content of Africa signature campaigns.
  • Social listening on key brand themes using the sprinkler platform and communicating opportunities for Deloitte to participate in trending online conversations.
  • Track social influencers on brand themes using Sprinklr and reporting on opportunities for Deloitte to connect with them.
  • Reputation management by raising any potential reputational issues for Deloitte Africa on social media to the brand communications team.

 Brand Centricity 

  • Consistently complies with Deloitte brand and corporate identity guidelines and produces work of appropriate quality and compliance
  • Responsible to check all content for brand compliance before scheduling any campaign.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree

Desired Qualifications

  • Postgraduate qualification (Digital Marketing)

Minimum Experience

  • 2-5 years’ working experience within the relevant function.

Desired Experience

  • 3+ years at Senior Consultant level within the function

Additional Information

Required Responsibilities

  • Organic Scheduling (through Sprinklr) + dealing with ad hoc requests
  • Strategic guidance on posts.
  • Advisory on campaigns
  • One pager plans for larger campaigns (i.e. Super priorities)
  • Bi-weekly show schedule of upcoming two weeks social schedule.
  • Support and guidance on creating content.
  • Work closely with email marketing and web team to bolster performance.
  • Deliberate reporting and Analytics (linked to our Digital team requirements Greg Holtshousen)
  • Engage & leverage digital forum (Lead the forum in project management capacity).
  • Engage directly with Service Lines when necessitated
