PURPOSE OF THE JOB

  • To safely install electrode casings, load electrode paste and monitor paste levels

SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY

CUSTOMERS 

  • Ensure Customer Satisfaction

BUSINESS PROCESSES 

Electrodes:

  • Install electrode casings to enable Söderberg electrode formation
  • Load electrode paste and monitor paste levels

Stocks:

  • Monitor casings and paste cylinder stock levels

Reporting:

  • Update the Casing Welding log sheets and the MES system

Requirements

Minimum qualifications: 

  • Grade 12 / N3
  • 1 Year Welding or relevant technical certificate
  • 2 years’ relevant experience
