What you’ll do:

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, risks, etc.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support decision-making.

General Ledger Management:

  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with    accounting standards and regulations.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide regular updates to management.
  • Collaborate with departments to develop realistic budgets aligned with strategic goals.

Financial Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Processing of Statutory work (VAT Recon, completing SARS E- filling and all VAT audit queries etc.)
  • Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.

Financial Operations Support:

  • Support day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Streamline processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Implement best practices in financial management and reporting.

Fixed Assets:

  • Maintaining fixed asset register and reconciliations.
  • Assist with reconciliations pertaining to Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Virtual Bank accounts, Bank account reconciliations, All clearing accounts.
  • Successfully manage and lead personnel. Coaching, training and ensuring accurate and timely AR invoicing is non-negotiable.

Your expertise:

  • Function related experience: 8 years in a similar role
  • Strong skills with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Adept at using technology including a variety of software/online, analyse and record information.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • An effective communicator (written and verbal)
  • A ‘team player’ with the ability to work within a collaborative and ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to manage quality deliverables with tight deadlines, pressurized environment.
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Disciplined and self-motivated
  • High degree of accuracy

Qualifications:

  • Degree/Diploma in finance/accounting
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant professional certifications, such as CIMA, or similar
