Job Description    

• Perform qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis on various samples, including record keeping.
• Analytical support to customer and service staff in an accurate and usable manner
• Maintain and/or arrange for maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
• Familiarize oneself with the laboratory safety requirements and operate the laboratory in accordance with this practice and proper Housekeeping principles
• Responsible for chemical dosing and optimization of all treatment programs.
• Trouble shooting systems such as cooling towers, boilers, filters and ion exchange systems.
• Do stock take of chemicals and reagents.

Qualifications & Experience    

• Grade 12 – High school graduate
• National Diploma or Advanced Certificate Analytical Chemistry / Chemical Engineering

Experience in following:

• Sampling, Testing & Reporting
• General & Specific Laboratory Work
• Water Treatment
• Computer Skills
• Knowledge of the refinery plant process will be advantageous.
