Responsibilities: 

Financial Metrics / Operational Duties

  • Accomplishes warehouse human resource objectives by scheduling, coaching, communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Meets warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse system improvements.
  • Maintains storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements.
  • Maintains inventory by conducting monthly physical counts; reconciling variances; inputting data.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
  • Plan, organise, arrange, supervise stock takes on Fridays as well as month end by assisting the team to investigate and finalise any queries prior to the month end final stock take.
  • To monitor stock levels and communicate reorders in a timeously manner. Communicating back orders and top ups with the team.
  • To ensure all Health and Safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Ensure the warehouse runs in the most cost-effective manner by monitoring budgets, and to ensure packaging is used in the most cost-effective manner.
  • Assist in overseeing and supervising the overall operation of the warehouse including documentation flow and filing.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.
  • To maintain a high standard of housekeeping and warehouse cleanliness by supervising daily activities and enforcing disciplines
  • Any ad-hoc duties as required by management.

  • 100% compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • 100% compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • 100% Compliance with relevant laws and regulations relating to the warehouse.
  • Ensure logical saving of all work, templates, etc. monthly and yearly such that each year’s financial records can stand on its own when enquiries/ investigations/audits take place.
  • Produce high quality, neat, logical, succinct, easy to follow, easy to understand, formula linked work/templates/workbooks/financial models – of which is substantiated by facts with no numbers in the formulas.
  • Ensure the above (final version) and other documents are chronologically saved/backed up.
  • Effectively deal with internal, external, SARS and BEE auditors.

  • Assist with projects as directed from time to time.
  • Adhere to measures are put in place and steps are taken to achieve the short-term, medium-term and long-term goals of the company.
