Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide Customer Service (Marketing)
- Cultivate and nurture positive relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.
- Attend to client queries in a timely and effective manner, proactively addressing any concerns.
- Collaborate with the sales team to strengthen customer relationships.
- Plan and execute national sales promotions, internal branch promotions, and marketing events.
- Assess marketing initiatives and recommend improvements for future strategies.
Administrative Control (Loss Control)
- Oversee administrative procedures within the branch, ensuring adherence to standards and regulations.
- Monitor for discrepancies, and initiate corrective measures to maintain operational integrity.
- Ensure full compliance with industry regulations and organizational policies, including financial and cash-related processes.
Inventory Management
- Analyze stock movement and trends to adjust inventory levels in line with market demand.
- Ensure accurate stock-taking and initiate corrective measures for any stock deviations.
Manage Branch According to Corporate Business Plan
- Align branch operations with the corporate business plan, setting clear objectives and action plans.
- Regularly assess performance and implement enhancements to improve divisional outcomes.
- Support Employment Equity (EE) targets and collaborate across departments to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Manage and Develop Staff
- Manage the team in compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.
- Provide regular feedback, coaching, and mentorship to develop staff potential and improve performance.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of the sales and service team.
- Ensure adherence to Health and Safety regulations.
Manage Branch Finance
- Oversee budget management, ensuring financial resources are allocated efficiently.
- Monitor expenditure, income streams, and financial performance, taking corrective action as needed to stay within budget.
Requirements
- National Senior Certificate
- Relevant supervisory/middle management qualification.
- 3 – 5 years of related management experience in the agricultural trade environment.
- Basic financial management, SAP, agri-business, and agricultural machinery.
- Customer relations and sales skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Time management, communication, and negotiation.
- Problem-solving, leadership, and creativity.
