Requirements:

  • Local Leadership and Engagement: Collaborate with the Middle East and Africa Regional Lead and Regional Community Manager to understand and prioritize regional trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Local Innovation and Implementation: Implement playbooks and drive impact pilots and civic engagement projects.
  • Optimize Central Strategy: Enhance strategies for Host Growth, Engagement, and Impact, including policy and commercial outcomes.
  • Community Needs Assessment: Measure and understand the qualitative and quantitative needs of the Host Community in the Middle East and Africa, balancing these with Airbnb’s goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Territory Execution: Co-develop and implement the operating system, including impactful Monthly Business Reviews for the region.
  • Track and Report KPIs: Localize, track, and report on community KPIs.
  • Collaborative Partnerships: Develop and foster partnerships with key stakeholders, including Market Managers, Policy Managers, and the Central Community team.
  • Support Growth Goals: Work with the Regional Lead and Community Manager to support Growth, Engagement, and Impact goals, including Business and Policy objectives.
  • Host Feedback Integration: Work with cross-functional leaders to leverage Host feedback and enhance local programs and the platform.
  • Regional Innovation and Implementation
  • Localize Playbooks: Adapt central playbooks based on feedback from Community Leaders to increase product adoption through toolkits, webinars, newsletters, meetups, and summits.
  • Scalable Initiatives: Create and execute community-driven, scalable initiatives focusing on community, business impact, and civic engagement.
  • Event Planning Support: Assist in the planning and logistics of online and offline events, including the annual Leader Summit.
  • Host Education: Educate Hosts on significant product changes and relay feedback to internal stakeholders.
  • Community Coordination: Manage day-to-day tasks, significant events, and campaigns for the Host Community in the Middle East and Africa.
  • Measurement and Communication
  • Performance Communication: Ensure clear communication of performance against monthly and annual OKRs from the local team.
  • Issue Escalation: Identify and escalate reporting issues, process gaps, and performance issues, driving timely resolutions.
  • Performance Tracking: Assess the performance of Host Clubs, community tools, emails, and webinars, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Content Sharing: Review Host Club engagement and share relevant content with cross-functional teams.
  • Leader Feedback: Provide specific feedback and insights to Leaders on their performance and areas for improvement.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Fluent in English, with excellent written and oral communication skills. French is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in Community Building, Customer Success, or Content Creation.
  • Familiarity with the MEA tech and tourism industry is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects autonomously.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with an analytical mindset.
  • Proven cross-functional work experience.
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels, with a track record of executing in ambiguous environments.
  • Experience with tools such as Salesforce, Facebook Groups, and Asana is a plus.
  • Passion for Airbnb travel and the sharing economy; being an Airbnb host is a plus.
