Purpose of the role

Responsible for the Despatch Department to deliver daily OTIF for Rustenburg bakery and its 2 Depots including bakeouts to the rest of the Sunbake network as a supply bakery.

Minimum Requirements    

• Matric
• Post matric qualification in Supply Chain or related field
• Computer literacy proficiency
• Minimum 5 yrs exp in a dispatch, logistics and distribution environment
• Supervisory experience

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Manage local feeders and route trucks to maintain 100% OTIF.
• Stock Management and rotation
• Coordinate loadings and departures for feeders to sister bakeries.
• Crate Management to ensure optimum production time.
• Seamless and flexible shift patterns in line with legislation and minimize overtime
• Manage a pool of Shunter Drivers, Dispatch Supervisors, Receiving Clerks and Loaders
• Seamless and flexible shift patterns in line with legislation and minimize overtime.
• Coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly rooster and prepare timesheets for payroll
• Responsible for leading and guiding a team of despatch people.
• Determine loading and departures for feeders to sister bakeries
• Will be required to work some weekends
