Farm Manager – Dairy Job at Farm Managers SA

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 2-3 years Dairy farming experience
• Pasture management knowledge
• Computer literacy essential
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong interpersonal skills and staff management skills
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to take initiative, while still being willing to take guidance and advice
• Willingness to work longer hours when necessary
• Ability to speak Xhosa advantageous
• Hardworking, honest and loyal
• Valid drivers licence and own reliable transport essential

RESPONSIBILTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOOT LIMITED TO

• Key role in supporting the Senior Manager in all daily farm activities
• Accurate data entry into Afikim and 4th Quadrant
• Daily dairy operations
• Daily duties every second weekend
• Helping with seasonal tasks such as calving, planting, and more
• Managing staff and allocating their daily work
• General farm work, plus machinery and irrigation maintenance
