Key Duties & Responsibilities    
Key Outputs and Accountabilities include, but not limited to:

  • Analytics Factory Execution: Spearhead the development of end-to-end analytics processes, transforming raw data into actionable insights, and creating predictive models that drive operational and commercial success (e.g., demand forecasting, trade promotion effectiveness, route optimisation)
  • Data Engineering & Integration: Ensure seamless integration and governance of data from MSD365 and other systems into Azure Synapse, collaborating with IT and BI teams to build scalable data pipelines that maintain high-quality, consistent data.
  • Commercial Insights & Decision Support: Translate complex business challenges into actionable analytical projects, delivering insights that directly support strategic decisions on revenue growth, cost optimisation, and market expansion. Design and standardise interactive dashboards and reports to empower data-driven action across the organisation (Self Service analytics).
  • Advanced Analytics & Innovation: Drive the integration of AI, machine learning, and emerging analytics technologies into business strategies, exploring innovative tools like Azure ML and generative AI to democratise insights and enhance decision-making capabilities.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration: Act as the key liaison between technical and commercial teams, translating complex analytics into clear business strategies, and ensuring alignment of analytical solutions with organisational goals. Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams to address their analytical needs and support strategic priorities

Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in data science techniques including statistical modeling, machine learning, and data visualisation.
  • Hands-on experience with data platforms (preferably Azure Synapse) and BI tools (Power BI) in a modern Microsoft ecosystem.
  • Proven track record of developing end-to-end analytics solutions that include data extraction, transformation, model development, and deployment.
  • Strong understanding of consumer-packaged goods (CPG) dynamics and commercial operations, with an ability to relate analytical findings to real-world business impact.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive revenue, efficiency, and growth.
  • Exceptional ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders in clear, concise language.
  • Strong collaborative skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams and influencing decisions at senior levels.

Skills, Experience & Education    
Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field
  • A Master’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred
  • Certifications or demonstrable experience in advanced analytics platforms (e.g., Azure ML, Power BI Advanced Analytics) are an asset.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 8 – 10 years’ experience in data analytics, data science, or a related field, with significant exposure to commercial decision-making in a CPG environment.
  • Experience working in multi-country or regional organisations is a plus.
