• You will join Sakata’s local Human Resources and Payroll Department that focuses on Policies, procedures, HR related matters and Payroll. You will follow the requirements defined by BCEA and Company regulations in conjunction with our International HR team.

Your main tasks will be: 

• Assisting with day-to-day operations within the HR and Payroll Department.
• Recruitment and Selection of employees – Casual, Temporary and Students.
• Assist with the onboarding of new employees as well as termination process.
• Coordination of all training internal and external – booking of training, booking of venues, following up on certificates etc. 
• Maintaining training records on the payroll system, personal employee files and training cloud file. 
• Maintaining personal employee’s files 
• Assisting employees with Human Resources related concerns and queries 
• Assisting with basic IR related issues
• Updating of Company Organograms 
• Assisting with EE and WSP submissions 
• Applying for Discretionary AgriSETA funding 
• Assist with Payroll on an ad hoc basis if required. 
• Assist with BEE Audit and CSR related projects. 
• Ad-hoc HR projects etc. 

Do you have?

• Degree in Human Resources 
• 1-2 years’ experience in HR or related field 
• SAGE People Payroll experience (Advantage)
• Practical experience with the implementation of the South African Labour laws.
• Computer Literate, specifically in Excel. 
• Excellent Communication skills
• The ability to work independently
• The ability to multi-task and work in an organised and methodical manner
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
