Minimum Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary HR qualification
  • At least 4 to 6 years post qualification experience
  • Strong Industrial Relations skills
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, etc)
  • Experience working with SAGE 300 and other HR Systems

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Industrial Relations: Occasional support to the HR Manager on disciplinary matters, wage negotiations, CCMA, etc.
  • Human Resources allocation in accordance with the approved HR plan in conjunction with Plant Management.
  • Recruitment, Selection, and onboarding of staff, in line with the company policies and procedures.
  • Employee remuneration process management
  • Support in the coordination of the employment equity committee, as well as employment equity compliance and reporting.
  • Report on key people drivers, proactively highlight key trends, risk and present to management for action plans.
  • Coordination and submission of employee data to payroll department in an accurate and timeous manner.
  • Ensure that all time & attendance is accurate and is reported timeously while aligning it to the Sage 300 payroll systems.
  • Implement specific project activities as determined through the HR planning process and participate in functional and cross – functional initiatives.
  • Manage the terminations processes which include facilitation of employees’ pension/provident fund withdrawals and ensure exit interviews are done.
  • Support the liaison between the plant and head office to ensure that HR services are aligned with the internal policies and procedures.
  • Be part of the HR Team, to ensure that the department functions effectively.
