A day in the life of a Laboratory Administrator:

Laboratory Support and Services Activities

• On time sample registration, acknowledgement and ensure good traceability of samples.
• Good inventory control on supply of reagents and materials needed for the lab use.
•  Responsible for common laboratory and non-laboratory materials procurement activities e.g., purchase requisition, contact of vendors / goods receipt.

Customer/ Administrative

• Serve as Customers contact point in terms of enquiry (method capability, samples priorities request).
• Main contact for samples handling, import / export permits (samples and materials)
• Ensure effective and efficient communication with customers.
• Ensure all enquiries and Complaints are handled and follow up on time.
• Assist Customer in matter related to GLOBE-QM (inspection plan set up, Master data setup. etc.)
• Provide support to NQAC users and Market in matters related to Globe LIMS & GLCA. 

  Globe-SAP LIMS

• GLOBE-LIMS (Master Inspection plans, reception, Sub-division, Internal issues resolving, storage and disposal etc.)
• GLOBE-LIMS (Communication with all customers, analytical Billing, ISO reports)
• Provide GLOBE-LIMS training to NQACs users and the Market.

PR Creation

• Create purchase requisitions into SAP in accordance with policy parameters.
• Maintain, expedite, and report on past due POs within AMM.
• Resolve blocked payment invoices of SAP workflow notification.
• Resolve GRIR reports.

General Services

• Assisting in workshop for logistic support e.g., beverages, tea break etc. if called upon.
• Appointed as Globe LIMS/GLCA super user for the NQAC Clayville and for the Market  

What will make you successful?

• Matric
• Min 2 yrs. experience in Laboratory administration 
• SAP knowledge and basic understanding of Microbiological and Chemistry Analysis.
• Good understanding of English and basic statistics
• Operational Experience 
• Proficient in MS Office
