Description

  • The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategic marketing, digital marketing and communication plans for Y in order to retain and grow market share.  
  • This individual will oversee the development of goals, strategies, and implementation plans to execute comprehensive marketing campaigns.

Marketing Strategy Development 

  • Together with the Senior Management team develop and implement an ATL & BTL marketing, digital marketing and communications strategy that drives listenership, positive brand sentiment and brand consumption.
  • Identify potential new markets and create a plan to enter those markets.

Marketing Management 

  • Ensure that all marketing materials are produced to exacting standards.
  • Ensure throughout the planning and implementation process that all marketing objectives are consistently met, and all brand executions are in line with the Y brand identity and positioning.
  • Drive creative conceptualisation of marketing activities/campaigns with relevant stakeholders
  • Manage station marketing initiatives.
  • Plan and execute all digital marketing efforts, including search engine optimisation/search engine marketing (SEO/SEM), maintaining the digital marketing, email, social media as well as display advertising campaigns
  • Design, build and maintain the Company’s social media presence through content creation.
  • Measure and report on how all digital marketing campaigns performed, and assessing these against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Identify trends and insights as well as optimising spend and performance based on the insights gained from all activities
  • Brainstorm innovating and out-of-the-box growth strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams in order to design, conceptualise and implement new ideas. 
  • Use strong analytical abilities to evaluate end-to-end customer experiences across multiple channels as well as customer touch points
  • Conceptualise and implement trade engagement opportunities and guide the trade marketing co-ordinator accordingly.
  • Effective supplier management.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies as well as providing thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate.
  • Manage internal and trade on-the-ground activations.

Employee Management   

  • Manage, train and lead a team of digital content producers and young aspiring marketers to achieve all departmental goals and brand strategic objectives. 

Budget Management   

  • Manage all marketing activities within allocated budgets
  • Review current marketing campaigns for opportunities and developing solutions within budget allocation.

Administration

  • Draft Monthly reports on brand activities.
  • Budget reconciliations and tracking.
  • Establish and implement events and digital content calendars.
  • Manage supplier database
  • Ensure adherence to internal finance policies and procedures

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Management

Experience

  • 5 years in Marketing
  • 3 years in a Supervisory role in Marketing within the Media Environment
  • Drivers Licences – Essential
