Minimum Requirements

  • Matric 
  • 1 Years’ experience in parking 
  • Good verbal communication skills;
  • Customer orientated & ability to manage parker queries

Duties & Responsibilities

  • All staff to be dressed in full company uniform and sober when reporting on duty. (It is an offence to report for duty under the influence of alcohol or to consume alcohol whilst on duty).
  • Men will be clean shaven and neatly dressed and proceed directly after parade to their area of responsibility.
  • Staff are not permitted to leave his / her post unattended for any reason. Always ensure a reliever is in place should he / she need to leave his / her post.
  • All Servest staff to always be polite and helpful and maintain a high standard of performance whilst on duty.
  • No tips / gifts may be accepted or solicited from customers, shoppers visiting the mall or the client, whether on or off duty. Non-compliance with this will lead to disciplinary action and possible termination of services.
  • No beggars are allowed into the parking facility at any time.
  • No posters or flyers are allowed to be placed in the area or under the wipers of cars unless the Operations Manager has given approval.
  • All shopper queries to be directed to the Servest Parking Manager who will take up the matter with Mall Management on duty.
  • No statement or admissions will be made to third parties / shoppers, traffic or local law enforcement officers unless approval is provided by Mall Management on duty.
  • No photographic equipment is allowed to be used on the site unless authorized by the Client on duty in writing.
  • Access to the Parking Office by any unauthorised personnel is strictly forbidden.
  • Proper handing and taking over procedures must be followed at the beginning and end of each shift and all equipment / registers handed over must be reflected in the Occurrence Book.
  • Any changes or instructions etc. by the Client that is not in the Occurrence Book must be brought to the Operations Manager’s attention immediately, in order for the site operating procedures to be amended.
  • The necessary action must be taken in order to deter anyone from damaging or removing any property of the Client.
  • At no stage may Controllers be carrying, receiving or holding cash on their persons while on their posts / duty, that has not been recorded in the Cash Declaration Register at start of each shift.
