Role Purpose
- Delivery of consumer insights to support the Metropolitan business towards the fulfilment of its purpose and strategic intent.
Requirements
- Degree in Business, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Behavioural Economics, Statistics or a related discipline
- Post-graduate degree in Business, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Behavioural Economics Statistics or a related discipline (advantageous)
- 3 years’ experience in designing and delivering consumer insights initiatives in a business context
- Experience with various qualitative research methods
- Demonstrable experience in lateral thinking for application in a business context
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure a clear understanding of needs across the business, and identify unexpressed consumer insights needs to advance client centricity
- Apply best-fit qualitative research methodologies and approaches to meet consumer insights outcomes across varied projects
- Manage/collaborate with external service providers as applicable
- Conduct end to end qualitative research in support of business objectives. In collaboration with quantitative specialists, apply and appropriately combine various methodologies towards achieving outcomes effectively and cost efficiently.
- Disseminate insights and present findings to relevant stakeholders to inform business decision-making. Craft insights in an easy to consume story driven format across multiple reporting / sharing platforms (e.g. insight cards, presentations, infographics and more)
- Guide and advise business stakeholders appropriately
- Build and maintain exceptional relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure that needs are consistently and reliably met within acceptable time frames
- Encourage innovation and educate business stakeholders on the value and importance of applying consumer insights in the business
- Make recommendations to improve client experience
- Participate and contribute to a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and provides exceptional client service
