Minimum requirements:

  • Matric or equivalent; additional certification in Office Management is a plus.
  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role is a plus.
  • Proficient in phone etiquette. Ability to handle incoming calls professionally and effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Clear and effective communication with visitors, clients, and colleagues.
  • Professional personal presentation
  • Strong customer service orientation. Commitment to providing excellent service to visitors and clients.
  • Reliability and Initiative: Demonstrating dependability in handling reception duties independently while showing initiative to anticipate needs and resolve issues proactively.
  • Ability to work a switchboard.
  • Fluency in both Afrikaans and English will be beneficial.
  • Fully computer-literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Ability to use computer applications effectively for administrative tasks.
  • Own reliable transport is an advantage

Daily duties will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office.
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office.
  • Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls.
  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material.
  • Take and relay messages
  • General office and administration duties
  • General typing and updating of information, opening of new customer files
  • Operating the switchboard
  • Provide information to callers
  • Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness
  • Deal with queries from the public and customers
  • Salary range is market related
