Minimum Requirements    

• Matric
• National Diploma in Safety Management/Environmental Science
• SEMTRAC will be an advantage.
• Advanced OSH training
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a FMCG environment.

Duties & Responsibilities    

• PPE ordering and issuing.
• Conducting H & S inductions
• Contractor Management (LOG, PLI and 37.2 agreement as minimum requirements)
• Participate in monthly departmental meetings.
• Conduct monthly internal departmental safety audit.
• Assist in collecting information for sustainability.
• Arrange hazardous waste collection on a quarterly basis.
• Share and track toolbox talks weekly.
• Investigate all incidents onsite and recommend the implementation of control measures.
• Track all incidents that occur on site and ensure that action is taken where necessary.
• Arrange H & S trainings according to the training matrix.
• Ensures that all appointment letters are up to date.
• Assist Departmental Heads with Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment
• Implementing Toolbox talks based on the incidents.
• Tracking completion of safe Working Procedure as well as Planned Task Observation
