Detailed Responsibilities

Infrastructure Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Conduct on-site and remote troubleshooting of network, server, and hardware infrastructure issues.
  • Ensure minimal downtime by promptly addressing escalated infrastructure-related incidents.
  • Perform regular maintenance and health checks on IT infrastructure.
  • Support all systems that Wilderness use.
  • Provide all users with quick, efficient and accurate support.
  • Be involved in the installation updating and maintenance of desktop and laptop computer systems

Deployment & Configuration

  • Set up, configure, and upgrade infrastructure components, including servers, routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and best practices during deployment activities.
  • Assist in rolling out enterprise-wide IT infrastructure initiatives across multiple locations.

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Proactively monitor infrastructure performance and security to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Provide detailed reports on infrastructure status, changes, and recurring issues.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to enhance monitoring solutions and tools.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Support

  • Liaise with on-site staff and external vendors to address infrastructure needs and challenges.
  • Provide end-user support for infrastructure-related concerns across multiple locations.
  • Participate in planning and implementation of infrastructure projects with cross-functional teams.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of infrastructure assets, configurations, and procedures.
  • Share knowledge and provide training to local IT teams for improved infrastructure management.
  • Develop best practices and standard operating procedures for infrastructure operations.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to IT policies, security protocols, and regulatory requirements during all operations.
  • Identify and address potential infrastructure vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
  • Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning efforts.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Qualification:

  • Matric
  • Relevant IT qualification
  • CompTIA N+ Certification preferred

Experience:                 

  • 5- 8 years’ experience in similar position
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with Azure, Active Directory, DNS, and Office 365.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience troubleshooting network-related/site down issues.
  • Proven experience in a technical support role, with a focus on Level 3 responsibilities
  • Excellent knowledge of computer systems, software applications, and advanced troubleshooting methodologies.
