Responsibilities

Job Overview:

  • To supervise the performance and maintenance of the activities of the van sales representatives in order to achieve maximum profitability and growth in accordance with organisational plans.

Sales:

  • Collect and report competitor information
  • Compile and implement sales & promotional plan
  • Negotiate and manage price and shelf space
  • Manage service levels
  • Visit and support customers
  • Control debtors & product returns
  • Administer sales documents & reports esp. deals & credit notes

People Growth and Leadership:

  • Approve functional plan
  • Formalise department structure
  • Manage performance of own team
  • Manage talent plan of own team
  • Achieve functional value

Systems, Procedures and Practices:

  • Implement functional plan and projects
  • Maintain functional governance, policy, legal & ethics framework
  • Implement functional best practices
  • Utilise SAP functionality
  • Report functional information
  • Utilsation of functional resources
  • Manage functional projects

Relationship Results:

  • Maintain external stakeholder relations, incl. Unions
  • Establish functional network

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Certificate in Sales/Marketing/Business or equivalent
  • 5 to 6 years working experience in FMCG environment
  • Valid driver’s license
