Purpose

  • The SHERQ Auditor will be responsible for all aspects of delivery of safety health, environmental and quality management programs. This will include, but not limited to SHERQ assurance activities including SHERQ internal, supplier, 2nd and 3rd party, and project audits. Incident and events investigation and tender proposals.  

Requirements

  • SHERQ Management
  •  Develop and maintain the Proconics Group audit programme
  •  Plan and carry out audits (Internal, supplier & project)
  •  Define and set SHERQ governance and compliance process.
  •  Contribute to the development of operating procedures and other aspects of the safety, health, environmental and quality management systems.
  •  Advise and assist site and office-based employees on all aspects of the company’s safety, health, environmental and quality management systems, and procedures.
  •  Investigate and report on incidents, dangerous occurrences, ill health and near misses, and quality non-conformances.
  •  Maintain corrective action and preventive action system for the organisation.
  •  Arrange and coordinate Proconics Group SHERQ training and awareness as well as development of the awareness material.
  •  Respond to tender pre-qualification, second party audits and tender submissions(proposals)
  •  Collate and evaluate SHERQ data to identify process improvement opportunities.
  •  Engage actively with key internal stakeholders to ensure they understand and actively support the process changes and desired cultural shifts.

SHERQ reporting

  •  Process and consolidate SHERQ management reports.
  •  Prepare and present relevant statistics.  

Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification (NQF 7) SHERQ.
  •  A Post graduate qualification (NQF 8) will be advantageous.
  •  Minimum 7 years’ supplier and project SHERQ auditing experience in oil and gas plant refineries, mining, power generation, and/or renewable energy projects, preferably engineering, procurement and construction projects.
  •  SHERQ lead auditor training and experience.
  •  Extensive knowledge and understanding of SHERQ Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 31001, ISO 27001, ISO3834, etc) planning, development, implementation, and monitoring).
  •  Extensive knowledge and understanding of all legislation having an impact on SHERQ activities particularly engineering, design, and construction activities.
  •  Report writing and statistical presentation
  •  Proficient Computer literacy skills, e.g., Word, Advance Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  •  Driving license and own transport
