What are we looking for?

- Knowledge of Lean Production methodologies and tools Pareto Diagram, PDCA Cycle, Ishikawa
What will be your key responsibilities?
SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT
- All PPE must be worn in compliance with the legal/RC requirements
- Enforce/Respect the safety rules and the internal policy
- Stop any equipment / operative works / external company works if safety/environment protection/fire protection rules are broken
- Guarantee and apply OHSAS 18001 and all related working procedures
- Compliance with Occupational Safety and Environmental Requirements – Mars Standards
- Guarantee and apply ISO 14001 (Environment), and all related working procedures
- Ensure a complete emergency response team, as well as full role execution as per the emergency response procedure
- Ensure LOTO whenever necessary, following the LOTO Guide of the area
- Report incident(s) and take necessary immediate corrective actions to safeguard safe working conditions for associates
- Conduct regular line tours of the areas, identified risk conditions and mitigations. Ensure abnormality cards are raised and repairs conducted where applicable.
QUALITY & FOOD SAFETY
- Verification of product review in extrusion and grinding with the operators
- Compliance with Quality and Food Safety Requirements – Mars Standards
- Guarantee and apply ISO 9001, 22000, Mars Standards, and all related working procedures
- Support the HACCP program in the department
- Follow GMP-GHP in the area
- Maintain and perform the CCP and oPRPs procedure according to SOPs in the extrusion area
- Sampling of products to ensure quality control
- Review identified high risk pest activity areas and ensure action plans/controls are in functioning as well as look for points of improvement raised formally through the FMOS process
OPERATION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure optimal execution of the plan for the shift through appropriate crewing, break management and cover for the planned production lines.
- Monitor operational unplanned stoppages with operators and trigger basic problem solving with the operators for reoccurring issues (this includes, micro stoppages, cleaning, break management)
- Monitor the quality of production and any corrections in the process, ensure deviations and corrective actions are properly documented on the NCR management system.
- Perform shift verification of the CCPs and OPRPs recorded on official shift records
- Ensure compliance with planning through monitoring of the production accuracy for each required SKU on the plan (within 5% variance). Provide root cause analysis for cases of over and underproductions.
- Participate in planning meeting and interact with the production scheduler in order to deliver the ATS (Adherence to Schedule) and the service level of the plant;
- Be aware of the work involving permits and verify LOTO in the shift / areas of bagging, extrusion and grinding;
- Open permits and verify LOTO for jobs performed by associates in the bagging, extrusion and milling.
- Active management of non conformities arising from their respective shift and follow the escalation procedure (i.e. Quality issue – put on hold, isolate, analyze root causes and take corrective action);
- Follow and ensure the operational procedures of the manufacture;
- Inform the shift manager of quality variations, safety risks and risk situations, according to product and process standards;
- Conduct independent verification of product review in extrusion and packaging with the operators to verify quality production
- Abnormality identification and reporting via abnormality cards or POKA
- Ensure adherence to centre line conditions as well as CIL (cleaning, inspection and lubrication) for process and packaging
- Provide shift TRIAD full basic investigations related to safety, quality, waste generation, raw material variances, and efficiency metrics related to TRS (Go & See & 5 WHY) in accordance with MSE
- Conduct training for operators based on need and training matrix
- Participation and support in AM/PM implementation for process and on shift
- Enforce the escalation procedures for quality and production. Ensure troubleshooting guides are used, and unplanned stoppages are effectively and efficiently resolved, calling on required support from support functions as required.

CLEANLINESS & TIDINESS
- Perform Housekeeping Checks to ensure compliance to 5S
- Execution planning and preparation for cleaning activities as required
- Monitor efficiency and quality of cleaning and sanitation processes in operations
- Change over cleaning
- Weekly cleaning & Sanitation and adherence to required procedures
EDUCATION & TRAINING
- Support multi-skills policy
- Develop SOPs and Work instructions as well as review existing procedures as needed
- Perform training and validation of operators as needed
- Support in maintaining updated training matrices for operators
- Training: attend any training program as scheduled by company management and train any designed person in the position
COMMUNICATION & INFORMATION
- Participation in FMOS handover focusing on previous shift performance in terms of safety, quality, service and waste for process and packaging
- Lead CP01 handover meeting, providing feedback on previous shift performance and action execution for deviations related to extrusion and packaging.
- Conduct independent line tour for process, audit and correct 5S & GMP deviations in the process areas
- Provide any requested documentation to other Departments according to internal rules
- Complete production reports as required by manager and record any production events (stops, quantity, quality, waste generation, safety cards) in RCLMS and/or shift books
