Job Purpose

  • Develop and ensure that the Railway Safety Policy validated by Quality Safety Management Board is implemented in the Railway Safety Management System of Alstom Transport.  Coordinate and animate the Railway safety effort, knowledge and culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply and deploy Supplier Quality Assurance policy in accordance with Sourcing.
  • Develop and deploy processes, tools & quality standards with Supplier Quality teams.
  • Car history book compilation (Traceability, configuration, updates …).
  • Provide technical support to supplier Quality team.
  • Manage all the supplier related NCRPR/PO with supplier chain.
  • Support  APSYS improvement plan for Industrial Quality scope.
  • Update Supplier Quality KPI board
  • Responsible for NCR management and Supplier performance for a precise scope of suppliers/project, after FAI + 3 deliveries (SQA scope)
  • Manage Non SPL parts with sourcing.
  • Responsible for Non conformity day-to day management , insuring reactivity to inform supplier of NCR , to replace defective parts and to implement securization.
  • Animate NCR treatment by setting-up relevant actions plan to reach Supplier NCR target
  • Manage cost of non-Quality ( CONQ S1.2) with sourcing and suppliers
  • Organize and manage the supplier retrofit
  • Decide quality wall if necessary.
  • Escalate the problematic suppliers through supplier escalation process
  • Challenge our suppliers to enforce relevant corrective and preventive action plan, challenge reactivity
  • Audit supplier process to check the effectiveness of the corrective and preventive action plan and ensure control plan substainability ( regular follow-up on main suppliers)
  • Prepare and monitor supplier Quality review at unit level to shoot the Top issues.
  • Manage all the customer related issues with Ubunye and Gibela Main site.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree/BSc/BTech in Quality Management and/or Industrial Engineering.
  • IT literate (MS Word, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Technical background with 3 years’ experience preferably in the similar industry, ideally working in quality and in production.
  • Experience developing and deploying processes, tools & quality standards with Supplier Quality teams.
  • Technical experience in Supplier Quality Assurance.
  • Working knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards and systems.
