Supply Chain Manager needed at Rand Water

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelors or Honour’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Finance, Business Management or Engineering
• Minimum 3 years’ middle management experience
• Minimum 6 years’ relevant working experience
• Eligibility to be registered with the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS)

Primary Duties

• Implementing strategic sourcing activities that are within well negotiated contracts and aligned with strategic programmes and projects while also assisting operational objectives;
• Maintaining Supplier relationships;
• Ensuring compliance throughout the SCM process;
• Assisting in the development of internal policies and tools necessary to implement strategic sourcing initiatives and assists in prioritizing strategic sourcing initiatives;
• Participating in the enterprise development initiatives to better enable the inclusion and participation of emerging enterprises in strategic sourcing initiatives
• Reviewing and negotiating supply contracts, subcontractor agreements, and other terms and conditions;
• Building relationships within the company and with external parties, such as suppliers or distributors;
• Collaborating with others from diverse backgrounds in order to identify problems and find solutions; and
• Monitoring overall performance to make sure targets are met.
