Key Overview and Responsibilities
- The Internal Sales Engineer will be responsible for customer service, administration, and sales support-related duties.
The key areas of responsibility for this role which include but are not limited to:
- Capturing of sales quotes on JDE 9.1, pro-forma invoices, and sales proposals.
- Raising and capturing MRs on JDE for local customers and outright purchases.
- Responsible for processing sales orders manually and telephonically.
- Raising purchase orders on JDE (OR, OL, OK).
- Forwarding of commercial correspondence to relevant recipients.
- Completion of relevant documentation and correspondence.
- Follow up on routine documentation approval status and customer queries.
- Quoting standard & non-standard gases and current prices on customer’s request.
- Handling queries on imports, exports, stock lists and pricing.
- Responsible for general internal spec sales and general administrative responsibilities.
- Provide support to the Sales Engineers and Sales Manager.
- Calling on existing customers.
- Support regions with import mixtures, equipment and canister inquiries.
Essential Requirements
- Must have a completed Matric/Grade 12 qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales, customer service and administration.
- Must be customer service-orientated in a commercial environment.
- Proven ability to negotiate at high levels and build strong relationships.
- Must have good organisational & communication skills.
- Must have good administrative skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency with MS Office packages; and experience on JDE will be advantageous.
- Valid driver’s license with own reliable vehicle.
