Job Description:

Financial Management:

  • Ensure controls are in place to mitigate material risks
  • Monitor and control costs in area of responsibility
  • Protect company assets
  • Minimise waste and rework

CUSTOMERS:

Customer Relations:

  • Monitor customer satisfaction
  • Liaise with a range of customers and handle a range of customer complaints

Supplier Relations:

  • Liaise with a range of suppliers and handle a range of supplier complaints
  • Build supplier relationships through day-to-day interactions

PROCESS:

Warehouse Management:

  • Manage and supervise MRP process to ensure planning of co-packing, refinery and packing plant happens timeously
  • Oversee weekly stock counts of finished goods in the warehouse
  • Conduct month end counts at various storage locations and 3rd party co-packers and resolve stock variances with all relevant parties before month end posting
  • In line with the Head Office Financial Procedures initiate Raw Material and Packed Product stock write-offs
  • Coordinate and manage logistics improvement projects
  • Problem solve critical raw material and packaging shortages against the production, refinery and tanker plans
  • Coordinate contingency plans as required
  • Manage warehouse information on the management information system
  • Manage the completion and issuing of the stock loading plans ensuring timeous submissions to the receiving parties

Reporting

  • Compile a weekly stock age report
  • Compile a weekly stock on hand report
  • Review and analyse logistics data and information and report
  • Compile and update logistics KPIs
  • Lead a weekly aging stock discussion with Sales

PEOPLE:

People Supervision:

  • Supervise work unit to achieve objectives
  • Plan, organise and monitor work in own area of responsibility
  • Communicate the unit results and achievements to the team

Recruitment:

  • Comply with EE targets
  • Conduct probationary reviews

Performance Management:

  • Manage and report individual and team performance
  • Develop and coach individuals within the team as per agreed IDPs

Industrial Relations:

  • Ensure discipline is maintained in department
  • Resolve grievances and disputes

Training and Development:

  • Conduct on-the-job training, assessment and coaching
