Job Advert Summary

• To facilitate the cost effective and timeous production of specials to the required time, quality standards, cost constraints and customer satisfaction, as well as maintaining ISO 9001:2015 series quality system and production.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalentc
• 5 years working experience
• Welding Trade Test certificate
• Ability to perform physical labour
• Primary Duties
• Production by welding pipes and pipe specials by manual arc welding, submerged-arc, TIG, CO² and
• gas welding. (longitudinally and circumferentially)
• Welding of pipes and pipe specials to standards, required Rand Water standards and to pass NDT
• tests to the target of 98%.
• Conduct mini-risk assessments
• Compliance with OHS Act.
• Manage compliance with environmental legislation.
• Recording of data related to the article/s being worked on e.g. Job numbers, time taken, length of welds
• deposited etc.
