1. Strategic Operations Execution and Solutions Delivery
- Translates organisational short to long-term strategies into operational execution that meets business objectives and delivers value to clients.
- Oversees and drives process optimisation, scale-up, and all aspects of digital and technological business enablement.
- Provides strategic direction, leadership, and management of an end-to-end collateral management function for the bank.
- Oversees daily operations of the bank’s client administration and customer data establishment; ensuring seamless client onboarding and KYC management of new and existing clients.
2. IT Strategic Execution and Solutions Delivery
- Formulates and executes an IT strategy that incorporates the operational, security and digital strategy through participation in organisational strategic planning processes.
- Develops and implements an Enterprise Architecture Blueprint for the Bank’s future technology implementations and rollouts.
- Reviews and updates the business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- Designs and monitors the digital workforce capabilities.
- Develops, implements and monitors the adherence to IT policies and procedures.
- Implements cyber security resilience aligned to best practices and Bank requirements.
3. Compliance, Governance and Reporting
- Participates as an invitee to various governance structures.
- Keeps abreast of industry-related regulatory requirements.
- Supports and responds to queries raised by internal and external auditors on IT matters and ensures that audit findings are dealt with.
- Ensures that all SLA’s and other IT agreements are in compliance with policies of the bank including PFMA processes.
- Formulates policies and procedures regarding IT areas that require governance.
- Implements and monitors formulated policies and procedures.
- Reports quarterly to governance committees of the Landbank Board
4. Stakeholder & Suppliers Management
- Develops and implements stakeholder engagement plans for all relevant stakeholders of IT in the bank.
- Educate stakeholders on the role of IT in the business requirements.
- Manage IT service level agreements for IT Suppliers and 3rd Parties in the Bank.
5. IT Operations Delivery
- Sets and manages SLA’s, SMART objectives, and strategies for the IT department.
- Selects and implements suitable technologies to streamline all internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits.
- Effectively manages all information and technology assets
- Develops and maintains an accurate IT asset register.
- Develops, manages and reports on key IT metrics to the CEO and other executive/ management committees.
- Monitors and evaluates operational effectiveness and effect changes required for improvement.
- Maintains and supports business applications according to agreed SLA’s, governance standards and ICT strategy.
6. Cyber Security Management
- Develops and implements the cyber security strategy and associated policies on behalf of the Bank to ensure an effective and up-to-date approach towards cyber security threats.
- Ensures firewalls and other security measures are in place and always up to date.
- Leads the planning and execution of ongoing security testing and vulnerability assessment.
7. People Management
- Participates in the selection and appointment of new team members.
- Conducts regular meetings and promote open and ongoing communication with the team.
- Provides direct reports with opportunities for growth and development through on-the-job.
- Manages and drives high performance.
- Hires the right fit and competence into IT roles.
- Enables a highly skilled IT team.
8. Budget & Financial Management
- Develops the IT and operations management budget (OPEX & CAPEX)
- Delivers as agreed within budget.
- Approves expenditure within the delegation of authority level.
- Manages and monitors expenditure of budget and resources to ensure no wastage
- Analyses the costs, value, and risks of information technology to advise management and suggest actions.
- Monitors expenditure against the approved budget, reporting on any deviations within the reporting and approval hierarchy.
- Adheres to financial guidelines and thus ensuring proper control over expenditure.
Preferred Minimum Education and Experience
- Honours Degree / Post Graduate Degree – Computer Science/ Computer Engineering / Information Technology / Information Systems or related qualifications
- Industry Working Knowledge / Certifications
- Project Management knowledge /certification
- Safe Agile Working knowledge/Certification
- TOGAF Working knowledge / Certification.
- ITIL 4.0 Foundation knowledge /certification
- IT Security knowledge /certification
- Information Security experience (ISO 27001)
- IT Service Management (ISO 20000) experience
- COBIT Working knowledge /Certification.
- IT Development & Support working knowledge.
- More than 15 years ICT practical experience , ICT Senior & Executive experience and Sound experience in a banking operations environment
- More than 10 Years IT Executive Management Experience
- 5 More than 10 years experience in Operations Management in a banking environ
