Job Purpose:

  • The position is responsible for a meticulous and detail-oriented LMS Courseware Administrator. In this role, the candidate will play a pivotal part in ensuring the quality and compliance of our courses on the Learning Management System (LMS).

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Conducting thorough quality assurance checks on courses within the LMS, meticulously assessing content against established guidelines to guarantee accuracy and adherence to standards.
  • Implementing minor corrections on course pages, demonstrating a keen eye for detail to rectify any deviations from established guidelines and maintaining the overall integrity of the content.
  • Undertaking basic course page administration tasks to optimize the user experience, ensuring seamless navigation and functionality for learners.
  • Efficiently managing personal time and resources to meet deadlines, demonstrating excellent organizational skills and a proactive approach to task completion.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Education, Instructional Design, Information Technology) or equivalent practical experience.

Skills:

  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional eye for detail to perform accurate quality assurance checks and make precise corrections to course content.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and basic course administration tools to efficiently navigate and manage course pages.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal English communication skills to record and effectively communicate errors to team leads, as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Time Management: Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • Problem-Solving: Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills to address minor course page issues and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in MS Word

Expertise:

  • Courseware Administration: Proven experience in basic administration of course pages within an LMS, including implementing corrections and optimizing user experience.
  • Quality Assurance: Previous experience in conducting quality assurance checks on educational content to ensure alignment with established guidelines and standards.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, contributing insights and actively participating in discussions to enhance the overall quality of courseware.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to evolving guidelines and technologies, staying current with industry trends in education and instructional design.
  • Documentation: Proficient in documenting errors, resolutions, and other relevant information for effective communication and continuous improvement.

General:

  • Demonstratable experience in LMS course design/editing is a minimum requirement. Relevant certifications or additional training in instructional design or related fields would be considered a plus. HTML, CSS skills and working knowledge of other MS Office applications are beneficial.
