BTT Richards Bay is currently recruiting for a Planning Administrator to join the BTT Richards Bay Planning Department.

The main purpose of the job is to ensure that all customer requests, queries and orders within the region are effectively and efficiently responded to.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal).
  • Decision-making, trouble-shooting, problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer focus
  • High levels of integrity and confidentiality
  • Must be able to work well in teams.
  • Ability to interact with and influence external and internal stakeholders.
  • Solid product knowledge – Chemicals, Fuels, Gases.

Minimum Requirements

  • Senior Certificate/ Grade 12
  • 2 years customer service experience
  • 2 years Admin/ Data Capturing experience
  • Experience in the chemical/petro-chemical industry would be advantageous.
  • Experience in Bulk Liquid Storage Facility/Terminal Operations would be advantageous
  • Practical knowledge of SAP, EDI system, FuelFacs+ and vehicle booking system
  • Strong Computer Skills

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all transfer, rail and road orders from various customers are accurately received and created on BTT SAP system.
  • Receive and create all customer transfer requests on the relevant system.
  • Respond to daily customer queries/requests and escalate accordingly.
  • File all planning filing received from shift planners accordingly.
  • Perform all general administrative duties within Planning department.
  • Gather information for Planning Supervisor required for reports.
  • Maintain a good relationship with all customers.
  • Interact with internal stakeholders on orders and day to day requests.
  • Assist supervisors and manager with customer complaint investigation.
  • Assist with Isando Order creation/vetting.
