Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 or Equivalent
  • 5 years’ relevant security experience of which 2 years should be in Supervisory level
  • A minimum Security Officer “Grade B” PSIRA registration is essential
  • National Key Point qualification
  • Valid driver’s license

Primary Duties

  • Manage security section at shift level according to organisational plans
  • Receive reports and action them accordingly
  • Emergency Services and Preparedness
  • Crime and incidents investigation, mobile patrols and protection
  • Implementation of the obligations employer and employees under SHEQ legislation

Knowledge

  • National Key Point Act and other security legislation
  • Firearm handling and Relevant Acts
  • Background knowledge of passive/technical- security systems

Skills

  • Good Verbal and Written Communication Skills 
  • Effective Decision Making 
  • Conflict Handling
