Role Summary:
As a Reservations Assistant, you will be the frontline of our customer service, handling telephone calls and enquiries with the utmost professionalism and efficiency. You will be responsible for managing reservations for Benguela Cove, as well as providing support for Leonardslee Gardens and Estate and Mannings Heath Golf Club. This role demands excellent communication skills, a knack for problem-solving, and the ability to work flexibly across multiple systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all incoming telephone calls and enquiries with a professional and courteous demeanour.
- Manage reservations efficiently, ensuring all guest requirements are met and confirmed promptly.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any questions or concerns with empathy and accuracy.
- Utilize various IT systems to manage bookings, update customer information, and maintain accurate records.
- Work collaboratively with team members across different locations to ensure a coordinated approach to guest services.
- Identify and resolve any issues that may arise during the reservation process, offering solutions that meet guest needs.
- Ensure up-to-date knowledge of all properties, including services, amenities, and promotions, to provide accurate information to guests.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a customer service or reservations role, preferably within the hospitality or tourism industry.
- Excellent telephone manner and communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with a diverse range of customers.
- Strong IT skills, with proficiency in using reservation systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising on quality.
- Problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing and resolving issues.
- A team player, willing to support colleagues and contribute positively to the workplace culture.
- Flexibility to work 5 days a week, including Saturdays and Sundays during core hours.
