We are looking for a dedicated and meticulous Junior Accountant to support our client’s finance department under the supervision of the Senior Accountant. 

• This role is ideal for someone eager to develop their accounting skills in a dynamic, supportive environment. The Junior Accountant will assist with reconciliations, invoice processing, payroll management, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Minimum Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting
• Three years of previous experience
• Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, Pastel, or similar is advantageous.
• Understanding of financial principles and willingness to learn more complex accounting rules.

Duties: 

• Assist with bank, customer, supplier, and stock reconciliations.
• Help in preparing and managing the fixed assets register.
• Support the generation of customer invoices and management accounts.
• Assist in processing payroll, fringe benefits, and allowances.
• Aid in filing statutory returns, including PAYE, VAT, and UIF.
• Respond to internal and external queries under the guidance of the Senior Accountant.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all professional standards and ethics.
• Participate in client liaison and maintain professional client relationships.
• Ensure timely and accurate data entry and financial record-keeping.
• Support the Senior Accountant in identifying revenue-generating opportunities and improving operational efficiencies.
