To ensure effective sales and marketing of the retail irrigation product & service range.

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING

  • Grade 12

REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in retail environment
  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience as a General Sales Clerk
  • Minimum 2 years irrigation experience

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Ensure a well-managed sales and marketing of irrigation services function
  • Execute Sales and Marketing in an efficient and profitable manner
  • Ensure added value and improve access to services and products
  • Ensure that sales and margins are achieved according to targets and budget
  • Provide information about competitive prices, discounts and quality of products and suppliers to customers.
  • Ensure delivery of products and services offered to customers.
  • Ensure after-sales service to customers
  • Communicate market tendencies to relevant departments and stakeholders.
  • Build customer databases and maintain administrative records
  • Ensure business-to-business Growth
  • Identify opportunities outside of traditional Afgri business within Retail service and product offering.
  • Inform clients of warranties and return policies
  • Attend product knowledge training
  • Liaise with the irrigation design department and procurement departmente
  • Ensure the administration of sales is proficient and accurately maintained 
  • Ensure Policies and procedures are adhered to in the sales and marketing environment
  • Planning of stock levels based on historic information
  • Ordering of stock from supplier or procurement
  • Take receipt of stock and ensure correct counts
  • Receive stock from receiving department and ensure correct pricing
  • Conduct stock counts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Minimizing stock losses, damaged stock 
  • Ensuring that quotations are done timeously accurately
  • Follow up on outstanding quotations  with suppliers and customers
  • Stock displayed according to Merchandising standards
  • Ensuring that shelves are clean and neat
  • Ensure that Merchandising displays are relevant to seasonal needs
  • Displaying products to enhance add-on sales
  • Establish and maintain good relations with customers
  • Record and report specific customer needs
  • Handle customer queries and complaints efficiently
