Minimum Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  •    B Tech Graphic Design (Essential/Minimum or)
  •    B Degree (Relevant) (Essential/Minimum)
  •    Certificate First Line Management (Recommended/Desirable)

EXPERIENCE: 

  • 5 years  Must have relevant experience in brand management, graphic and digital content creation. Strong design skills and proficiency in graphic design software are required (i.e: Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, Sketch and/ Canva) Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong project management skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities and stakeholder communication needs. Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and fresh ideas. The ability to remain informed about digital trends and technologies, and to achieve tangible outcomes in brand awareness. Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms   (Essential/Minimum)    Operational

Duties & Responsibilities

Compliance, Governance and Assurance  

  • Adhere to sound corporate governance principles and address discrepancies.
  • Ensure adherence to brand guidelines and standards across all platforms and communications by conducting regular audits.
  • Monitor and drive compliance with risk, legal and regulatory requirements related to branding and digital communications.
  • Provide training and support to internal teams on adherence to our brand corporate identity.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure the brand’s presence remains compliant.
  • Implement measures to protect the brand’s reputation and intellectual property rights.

Culture    

  • Embody and promote Exxaro’s values and culture both internally and externally.
  • Foster effective teamwork and unity among employees.
  • Support the Corporate Communication department in promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) as well as Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, ensuring that employees are involved, energized, committed, motivated, and recognised.
  • Demonstrate and encourage collaboration across functions, creating a culture of collaboration.

Digital and Brand Management    

  • Develop and maintain the company’s brand identity and visual assets across all platforms, ensuring consistency and alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Align within the Corporate Affairs team and collaborate with the Investor Relations and Liaison team, other functions and Business Units (BUs) to ensure that all designs align with the overall brand strategy and project objectives.
  • Create engaging and impactful visual presentations, infographics, and other graphics to support and standardise internal and external communication (Presentations, workflows, leadership graphics, financial and strategic information)
  • Design and create visual content for communication channels and for key events.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their communication needs and develop supporting creative or branding solutions.
  • Stay up to date with design trends, relevant software training and best practices to continuously improve the company’s digital brand presence.
  • Assist in managing the company’s digital assets, including images, videos, and other multimedia content, internally and externally.
  • Support activities related to Exxaro’s brand recognition. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, experiment with innovative strategies, and adapt approaches continuously to ensure the brand remains relevant in the digital space.

Functional Excellence    

  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for brand management and digital platforms to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of brand performance and digital platforms to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement feedback mechanisms to gather insights from stakeholders and customers and use this information to drive continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in brand management and digital marketing, integrating new technologies and strategies to drive innovation.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of brand initiatives, using data-driven insights to make informed decisions.
  • Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence within the Corporate Affairs team, encouraging team members to share ideas and contribute to the overall success of the brand.

Internal support    

  • Provide strategic guidance on how brand and digital platforms can be used effectively to drive engagement across our platforms with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ensure a practice of teams receiving updates on new developments with the corporate identity.
  • Support leadership communications with graphic enhancements and correct digital positioning.
  • Work closely with the Corporate Affairs team and in alignment with the Investor Relations and Liaison team to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all digital channels.

Safe and Healthy Work Environment    

  • Maintain and ensure a healthy environment, safe operations practices, ensuring compliance with all applicable Safety Health and Environmental (SHE) policies/procedures in line with set standards.
  • Encourage a culture that focuses on safety in all operations.

Supplier Management    

  • Support the contracting process for service providers and manage provision of services including costs, delivery, quality, etc.
  • Address and mitigate performance issues to ensure seamless service delivery and adherence to the Group governance.
  • Support the empowerment of local suppliers in all digital and branding service delivery.
  • Support supply chain relationship management and negotiations.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and vendors as needed to support digital and branding initiatives.
