KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Thorough knowledge of all sites, including all aspects of Safety, Health, Environment and Fire systems.
- Good working knowledge of computer systems i.e. word, excel, power point and SAP.
- Good organization skills of setting up and acting out training plans.
- Ability to train and develop a person on any of the sites.
- OHS Act knowledge, ISO Systems, SETAS
- Thorough understanding of BTT operations
- Must have practical and technical ability.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12
- National Diploma/Degree in Training & Development
- Facilitator and Assessor /ODETDP Certification
- Relevant Engineering Diploma/Certificate in Chemical Operations NQF 4 advantageous.
- 3-5 years Training/Supervisory/Technical experience
- 2 years’ experience in Gas/chemical Plant Operations
- Experience of working with a Learner Management System advantageous
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct Training Needs Analysis
- Compile, communicate and coordinate the implementation of Training Plans
- Ensure candidates that are chosen for training are well trained.
- Ensure candidates are trained in accordance with the Company’s ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2014 and ISO 450001:2008 systems procedures, work instructions, SOP’s, and IMS programs.
- Ensure that IT systems theory and practical training is done for SAP, Intranet, Iso-Metrix, Sharepoint etc.
- Test candidates for competence in the theory/practical training.
- Test, verify and sign off candidates for “On The Job Training” with responsible Manager
- Notify stakeholders of the training results and issue certificates of competency.
- Reviews candidates’ site PJO’s done by the Supervisors and re-do training if necessary.
- Provide weekly/monthly feedback to Training Supervisor in the form of training reports.
- Update on the job training records regularly and submit to Training Supervisor
- Induct new employees on site.
- Train employees on fire and safety equipment available on site, and its usage
- Assist in preparing and updating instructional material and training aids to BTT standards.
- Prepare training facilities and equipment and strictly control resources.
- Present lectures and facilitate group discussions.
- Effectively deals with questions and concerns and reports to management.
- Ensure training registers and plans are up to date and accurate.
