Brand Marketing:
- Assist in implementing the East Coast Radio’s media brand strategy and ensure maximum brand coverage and overall enhancement of the station’s reputation Digitally, on the ground and on-air.
- Work closely with the stations Digital Lead to ensure the Digital Marketing strategy is executed correctly and identifying opportunity to grown the online audience
- Responsible to generate brand activities to promote streaming, listening to the station and make people fall in love with the brand.
- Responsible for conceptualizing brand campaigns, events and activations with the Events team.
- Project manage any brand and PR related projects for the station by drafting project plans, project leading the campaign with a team and implement the campaign.
- Responsible for managing the Brand budget
- Manage all internal design briefs for the station and brief the designer on creative direction and manage the design process
- Responsible for writing, briefing and sending Mediamark/Sales and staff any updated Branding messages
Public Relations:
PR around ECR initiatives:
- Generate publicity around station initiatives, the ECR Brand, talent, trade & events
- Ensure error-free communication that is at the highest level
- Attend all events in order to write post event releases
- Draft, refine and issue press releases around station initiatives and events
Publicity opportunities:
- Compile and implement publicity plans for East Coast Radio to Seek Public Relations opportunities & tailor make the content to capitalize on these opportunities
- Work closely with the stations Digital Team to capitalise on PR possibilities
- Assist the Digital team with any negative social media comments and monitor brand sentiment with service providers.
- Ensure that the right publicity opportunities are utilised to have the ECR brand in the press with regards to upcoming ECR events and presenter profiles etc.
- Handling of press queries regarding the station, presenters and all
- Station activities
- Hosting press and influencers at station functions and events
- Managing Publicity campaign opportunities
- Manage the trade PR strategy.
General:
- Assist the Events and CSI Coordinator with CSI projects
- Draft PR and communications plans for all events, activations and campaigns
- Draft all Press Ads, book and supply material
- Monitor trade exchange budget with media and other key stakeholders
Administration:
- Utilizing the media monitoring service to its full benefit
- Highlighting pertinent articles
- Compilation of the monthly publicity report detailing the value of all PR obtained that month within monthly deadlines
- Responsible to process any marketing related invoices
- Requesting corrections should media publish or broadcast incorrect information about the station and follow up on such requests
- Storing all press clippings and media files in a manageable way
- Compiling PR reports about specific initiatives when requested
Requirements
Qualification:
- National Diploma and / or Degree in Marketing Management, Brand Management, Public Relations, Communication / Equivalent
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years Brand Specialist, PR, Marketing experience preferably within a media or entertainment driven environment.
- Working knowledge of Illustrator, InDesign, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Excellent writing skills.
- Excellent strategic thinking skills
- Planning and project management skills
- Code 08 Drivers License
- Travel expected.
- Weekend work expected
