QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:

  • Degree in the field of Human Capital (HC) Management, together with a post graduate diploma related to business and/ or leadership.
  • Recognition is given to Prior Learning and practical experience.

EXPERIENCED & KNOWLEDGEABLE:

  • 10+ Years relevant experience in a Human Capital management, of which 4 years experience at team and business management level.
  • Manufacturing industry experience, especially within pharmaceutical, is advantageous.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of sound HR practices, strategy, and technology
  • HC Policy and process development.
  • Leading Business and Human Capital projects.
  • Change leadership methodology and leading organisational change.
  • Business writing, metrics development and management/ board level reporting.
  • Strong and tested knowledge of South Africas Labour Legislation, pragmatic application of Industrial Relations and representing the company at Union engagements, CCMA, Labour Court, and the Department of Labour.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

  • Participate in developing the Biovac Human Capital Strategy and provide strategic HC leadership within the business.
  • Timeously execute the people strategy through a savvy HC infrastructure and human capital team.
  • Remain abreast of own and team professional & personal learning & development.
  • Ensure adequate HC team capacity management and cultivate the HC team capability to ensure optimal business partnering across Biovacs business units.
  • Develop and implement company policies and practices.
  • Develop best-practices and policies that are relevant for the business and aligns with Biovacs employee value proposition and ensure these remain current and effective through ongoing refinement.
  • Performance effective and comprehensive costing, budgeting, and expense management, taking all overlapping site activities into consideration while reducing wastage, and contributing to overall profitability.
  • Procure, implement, and monitor fit for purpose and cost effective HRIS systems and ensuring sound information is extracted, trended, and reported, to address business challenges and drive culture & people transformation.
  • Co-ordinate organisational structuring & overseeing the defining of roles and responsibilities, ensuring
  • structures remain optimal so to alleviate bottlenecks within the companys operations.
  • Conduct job evaluations, grading & ongoing market benchmarking related to pay and benefits to ensure Biovac remains competitive within the market.
  • Oversee the attraction and placement of suitable talent aligned to culture and job fit.
  • Ensure the performance management philosophy and methodology is well designed, defined and executed so to drive a seamless performance management planning and review process, with smart transformational KPIs driving high performance across the business.
  • Drive a high-performance culture and high-performance results through a sophisticated performance management philosophy & methodology.
  • Oversee Company wellness programme & events that enables healthy lifestyles that supports our high performance.
  • Drive transformation through optimising Biovacs BBBEE contribution in terms of management control and skills development.
  • Prioritise talent retention through ensuring an optimal company culture, rewards and benefits are competitive, effective leadership is in place across the business units, access to meaningful work, access to learning & development, career path visibility and fair access internal mobility,
  • Ensure sound employee relations are upheld that fosters ubuntu and drives on time and in full delivery.
  • Ensure company compliance with all relevant HR related legislation in the countries that Biovac operate and guide the business on any legislative changes.
  • Oversee a sound industrial relations infrastructure and represent the company externally related to employment related litigation.
  • Monitor impact and sentiment across leader/ employee engagement channels to ensure the Biovac culture remains in-tact among all internal stakeholders.
  • Work with our Corporate Brand team to develop a sound internal communications plan that keeps employees involved, engaged and up to date.
  • Deliver customized people centric solutions that instil an optimal people centric culture aligned to the Biovac way and retains talent.
  • Ensure all HC projects are scoped timeously and launched with innovation, drive and commitment while monitoring the achievement of the desired outcomes.
  • Identify and continuously present key opportunities and synergies that will improve and/ or expand the business within own and/ or other departments.
  • Participate with the management team to proactively mitigate risks and find solutions where possible.
