Job Summary:

The Project Manager is responsible for managing the production process of OKHA products. High level accuracy and product knowledge is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interpret and understand the design brief and adequately recommend products and accessories
  • Managing of projects product, i.e:
    • Costing,
    • Custom Quoting,
    • Orders, and Drawings, Spec
    • Quality Control of Manufactured items
    • Ensuring delivery in line with OKHA policy
    • Updating Manufacturers amendments to order
    • Updating relevant Sales Team on project status
    • Management of Spec Sheet and PO documents (with supervisor sign off)
    • Management of Supplier Payments
    • Managing project tracker & feedback from production Supervisor
    • Reporting to supervisor with feedback/issues
    • Adhering to production lead times
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers ensuring best rates and terms
  • Works with the sales team by providing guidance on Products
  • Interrogate and compare of all costs and quotes, ensuring conservative spending
  • Source new suppliers when necessary – with supervisor where needed (i.e. brand new suppliers). Source ALTERNATIVE suppliers from existing Research according to product & present to supervisor.
  • Checking quality and accuracy on all product orders, at the factory and on delivery to final production
  • Assist with elements of product development as and when necessary
  • To provide custom item drawings for sign off by supervisor
  • Ensure the OKHA brand is represented in all aspects and areas of your work and presentation

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND CRITERIA:

  • Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to understand and formulate design decisions and present for discussion
  • Ability to use a variety of media and software in the development and documentation of a design project
  • Ability to accurately understand and interpret
  • Understanding of the production process
  • The ability to demonstrate creative problem-solving skills
  • Able to set and achieve deadlines and give regular updates on progress
  • Methodical, accurate and consistent attention to detail
  • Able to remain calm and work in high-pressure environments
  • Self-motivated and able to take responsibility
  • Demonstrate initiative and be pro-active towards daily tasks
  • Able to build good relationships at all levels both internally and externally
  • Team player
  • Valid drivers license & reliable form of own transport

ADVANTAGEOUS CRITERIA:

  • Interior Design Qualification
  • Experience in Design, Sales and Project Management advantageous
